Today was fairytale lyrics

Today was a fairytale
You were the prince
I used to be a damsel in distress
You took me by the hand
And you picked me up at six
Today was a fairytale
Today was a fairytale

Today was a fairytale
I wore a dress
You wore a dark grey t-shirt
You told me I was pretty
When I looked like a mess
Today was a fairytale

Time slows down whenever you’re around.
But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when i saw you standing there
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale

Today was a fairytale
You’ve got a smile that takes me to another planet
Every move you make, everything you say is right
Today was a fairytale
Today was a fairytale
All that I could say is now it’s getting so much clearer
Nothing made sense til the time I saw your face
Today was a fairytale.

Time slows down whenever you’re around.
But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when I saw you standing there
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale

Time slows down whenever you’re around
I can feel my heart it’s beating in my chest
Did you feel it I can’t put this down

But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when I saw you standing there
It must have been the way

But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when I saw you standing there
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale
It must have been the way
Today was a fairytale

Ooo-oooh oooooo-ooooh! Yeaaaeeah! ohh-oo-oohh
Today was a fairytale

Blogging Blogger: Jane Aldridge January 15, 2010

Givenchy. Miu Miu. Proenza. Yves Saint Laurent. These are the things my mind thinks and my eyes see lately. Not that I want those high end brands – I can’t even afford it. But because for the last couple of months I’ve been addicted to style blogs and very much with Jane Aldridge’s Sea of Shoes.

Jane on her latest post. (love the skirt!)

Jane Aldridge is a seventeen year old style blogger who has an exceptional sense of style. Her blog discusses fashion and toys she loves, but is really dedicated for her love of shoes. She says shoes are like art and she loves it so much. I say (as a reader) her life is like an art. She’s an art.

Her sense of style says much more about herself, how unique her mind is, how intelligent she is, and how talented she is. Jane expresses everything she is through it. By pursuing her passion, she inspires people. Including me.

Aside from the brands I now know and realizing that there are many of them (before I only know Chanel, Dior, Balenciaga, and other popular ones), here are the things I learned from her and her blog.

  1. NiceĀ  shoes can make a huge difference in your outfit. Try pairing jeans and a white t-shirt with a leather platform – you’ll totally look chic.
  2. Toys are never just for kids. Jane and her mom loves little exotic animals and monster toys so much that it made me love my teddy bears and Barbies again.
  3. Vintages are cool. In my country, vintage pieces are not as cool as Jane shows it. Vintage clothing shops in the Philippines are called ukay-ukay which means to dig – clothes are piled up so you need to dig.
  4. Fairy tales are true. Just imagine a blogger recommended by Vogue to be invited at a debut ball in Paris and be dressed by Chanel.
  5. Grooming your eyebrows is a must. I once read an article about her and she said she doesn’t like make up but always makes sure to have dark eyebrows. I think grooming your eyebrows has the effect of the suggestion in #1.
  6. Blogs are never boring – especially if you have pictures. Prior to this addiction I stereo-type blogs as boring non sense. But with ones passion, it’s not. So now, I’m also trying to share.

These are just some that I can think of right now but I’m sure I learned a lot! Maybe I’ll update this one each time I do remember.

Keeping up is what I can’t keep up January 14, 2010

Filed under: Life — kareinxo @ 4:08 pm

I always say I’m gonna write on this blog at least once a week but I do none. I really really wanna maintain this but I am just that moody. All my entries here are like “keeping up/updating” just because I got nothing to say. Too many things in my head that I wanna write which leads me not writing even one, because they’re too many – I tell you.
